I was in the great state of Texas all last week and went to The Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth for the first time. Not only was the building completely stunning in itself (designed by Tadao Ando) but I finally got to see Ladder for Booker T. Washington by Martin Puryear. I wrote a paper on this piece way back when I was a freshmen in college and as expected, it was just wonderful in person.

My one critique…. I wish there was a hole in the ceiling so that I really could believe it went up forever.
